Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026 · Last updated September 10, 2026
1. Who we are
Simple Bills is a personal bill organization and reminder service operated by Bothbrothers.com, a jointly owned project operated by its founders, with an operational contact point in Ovalle, Chile.
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to notifications@simple-bills.com.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, password in protected form, language preference, account settings, bill names, amounts, due dates, categories, payment status, reminder preferences and other information you choose to enter into Simple Bills.
We may also collect technical and security information such as IP address, browser or device information, session data, timestamps, logs and information needed to prevent abuse, investigate errors and protect the service.
3. Payment information
Premium purchases are processed by PayPal. Simple Bills may receive and store transaction-related information such as PayPal order or capture identifiers, purchase status, amount, currency, refund status and purchase date.
Simple Bills does not need to receive or store your full payment card or bank-account credentials to process a Premium purchase. PayPal handles payment credentials under its own privacy practices and terms.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain Simple Bills, create and secure accounts, organize the bills you enter, deliver reminders and notifications you request, provide Premium features, process and reconcile purchases and refunds, respond to support requests, improve reliability, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Notifications
If you enable email, browser or push notifications, we use the information necessary to send the reminders and service messages you request. You may change notification preferences from your account settings where those controls are available. Delivery can also depend on your browser, device, email provider or other third-party systems.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Simple Bills uses cookies and similar browser storage where necessary for account sessions, security, language preferences, CSRF protection, PWA functionality and other essential product features. We may introduce optional analytics or other non-essential technologies in the future; if required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice or consent controls before using them.
7. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate Simple Bills, including hosting, email, notification, security, support and payment providers such as PayPal, only as reasonably necessary for those services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our service, our rights, or the rights and safety of others.
8. International processing
Because Simple Bills and its service providers may use infrastructure or vendors located in different countries, information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where required, we will take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for such processing.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and enforce agreements. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the reason it is kept.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their passwords and devices.
11. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing where applicable.
To make a privacy request, email notifications@simple-bills.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may need to be retained when required by law or for legitimate security, transaction, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.
12. Children
Simple Bills is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where parental or legal consent is required. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Simple Bills, our providers, or applicable legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with an updated “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law.
14. Contact
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact notifications@simple-bills.com.
